Emilie, in the office, received the following unsolicited email. When she forwarded it to me the cheerful soul had prefixed it by saying... "he loves me !".
When I've read emails like this, on other sites, I tend to be a tad cynical (the give away is usually that the grammar & punctuation are great - and real people don't tend to worry too much about that type of thing) hence I don't usually believe they're genuine... but this rec' and all the rest are real.

This is feedback from one of our White label solicitors (we provide the HIP in their logo) after we'd offered them the Deferred Payment option;
Now we have the option to do the differed payment and the price increase is not so great as our other provider, we will be sending all of the requests over to you. We have great feedback about Hipcounter not only from the staff here who deal with the HIP's, but also from our clients regarding the quality of HIP, clarity and presentation general ordering and handling of the HIP.

There's been some stories in the trade press about the quality of "cheap" HIPs (specifically the Trading Standards chaps in Birmingham are chasing Estate Agents about the poor quality of their HIPs).
Hence one of our Introducers emailed to ask whether we were providing "legal" HIPs. We are. And we emailed back a summary of our business model to him.
Incidentally I write a monthly editorial peice (on HIPs) for one of the Estate Agency Magazines.... so it wouldn't do if we cut corners.
This gents reply to my email said;

Thanks for the response which I will use when my customers ask the same question. One or two already have.
For my part, I have been really impressed with LB and have been more than happy with the service. I have been approached by a number of companies offering substantially lower cost HIP’s but have stayed with you for a number of reasons including quality, reliability and also our relationship which we have built up.
I am also in this business for the long term and must offer a quality product to my clients which I have 100% confidence in. I believe I get this from LB.

This gent took the time to bring in his Title deeds (which wasn't necessary but I think he wanted a day out !) and we were able to trace the property's origins back to 1875... You have to be a fellow nerd to appreciate this but the 1875 document (handwritten with flowing caligraphy, wax seals & 19th Century stamps) was very, very s_xy.

This gent spoke to a new member of staff who, bless her, didn't sound as confident on the phone as we would have liked (her first week). Hence I subsequently called the client, and emailed, to confirm matters & offer reassurance. We then had the following email reply;

Wow!! I thought X, Chartered Surveyors of Blackpool, were efficient
- we can turn round a Homebuyers Report in two days if pushed - but I
must congratulate you. It just shows what the legal profession can do
when there is money to be made!!

For the cynical amongst you this email probably seems too good to be true (I've read text like this on other sites in the past & thought, "that's 100% made up by some office wallah trying to promote his own firm !") but I promise you none of these emails are any kind of fabrication;
Good Morning, many thanks for your professional services regarding the HIPs survey you conducted at my request, of which was completed quickly and efficiently. I also note your conveyancing fees of which look to be very competitive and I will certainly consider using this service if and when we can sell our property.

We organised this lady's HIP & emailed it through.... She then emailed back a couple of weeks later with a querry about the Water Search. The chaps in the office bounced it to me & I answered the question.
This lady works for a Chocolate company (www.whitakerschocolates.com) & two weeks later we received two boxes of chocolates and the following Compliment slip;

This lady phoned for a quote for conveyancing & a HIP. She used us for the HIP but said she was using someone else for the conveyancing (lots of our clients do this). I asked about the costs she'd been quoted and was told we'd been well undercut. Which I politely querried. Three days later I got the following email;
Hi
Thanks for the advice re; small print. I have looked into it and discovered they are cheeky monkeys and also expensive !!! As a result I went back to your site to get a quote and lo and behold as you predicted you are much cheaper. Many thanks for the advice !!!!

I've been ringing around comparing quotes and it's sooo refreshing to see a company that clearly states that they have no hidden extra's and that the price they quote is what you pay - WELL DONE you guys. I will most certainly be recommending you to friends, colleagues and even my estate agent who works on the same principles.
