January 2009 - an improving market.

The market seems to have improved throughout January 2009.

We've noticed more HIPs & Conveyancing clients coming to the market during the start to the year.

According to One Search Direct (search providers) they've been asked to carry out 71% more searches in January than December.

In addition to this the NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) reported that it's members had seen an increase in activity so far this year.

One Search Direct seem to have mirrored our findings in that we've found that the market seems to be returning to the levels we last saw in October.

Maybe not awe inspiring but definitely showing signs of revovery !

Additionally Rightmove suggest they've noticed a 121% increase in people searching for property so far this year.

If banks get back to offering 90% "loan to value" mortgage deals.... and the press don't depress us all with further talk about recession.... I think UK PLC will be back in business !
